At Wokingham Tutoring, I provide friendly and effective teaching for individuals and small groups. The focus
is on confidence-building, enjoyment and progress – all at your own speed.
French: - All levels
I have experience of the new GCSE and A Level specifications. With results being based on 100% exam performance, confidence and familiarity with speaking and writing are key. I also teach to entrance exam and 13+ syllabuses.
I run nursery and primary sessions including sibling groups with children of different ages. For younger learners, I engage with the language through songs, games, puppets, plays and other activities.
At the other end of the age spectrum, I have many adult students who want to come back to French either for work or leisure. I use a combination of grammar in a choice of study books and relaxed conversation. It’s never too late to learn!
English – Primary literacy, KS3 and GCSE
I work with the new English GCSE syllabus and can help students to develop the analytical skills they need for this qualification. I have experience working with children with dyslexia and Aspergers and always work at a level the student is comfortable with.
The new GCSE exams demand sophisticated responses in a short time and my aim is for students to become practised at getting under the skin of the written word. This in turn feeds into their own scope for expression.
Lessons - are on weekdays and evenings, mostly at my home in Wokingham, though there may be times I can travel to you. Please enquire for information regarding fees, fortnightly options and group rates.
